MANLY BEER COMPANY
Address: Manly, just north of Sydney
Beers : Pale Ale (and a Cider) in bottles
“Manly Beer” is somewhat of a rarity in the local craft beer world now. I found a bottle of the Pale Ale at the Sydney Wine and Beer Company in Terry Hills, and with 4.9% ABV, it is a hazy, pale amber brew with orange, coriander and spicy notes. Light and refreshing, it is part of the growing Manly-Brookvale craft beer scene – although I fear this may become a collector’s item soon. As I said, it is quite difficult to find now (early 2015).
Manly Beach (Ocean and Harbour side) is such a perfect part of Sydney. Manly is well worth a visit with a number of craft beer pubs (Yardarm, New Brighton and Four Pines for instance) as well as great restaurants and the fabulous beaches.
The Manly Beer Company also make a cider – let’s hope that they continue to brew in the future.
